"Miracle League's 2013 was a great success.

WELL, WHAT CAN I SAY ANOTHER WONDERFUL… EXCITING YEAR OF MIRACLE LEAGUE BASEBALL… DID YOU SEE THE SMILES ON THE PLAYERS FACES… WHAT HEART AND LOVE BY THE BUDDIES..RUSTY ..DID NOT BREAK ANYTHING AND GENE’S HAIR ( REAL HAIR LOOKED GREAT ALL YEAR)… WE LOVE YOU ALL VERY MUCH .. ATTACHED IS A PART OF OUR NEXT STEP..NEW SOUND SYSTEM …AND LED BOARD … WE WILL MEET IN THE FALL OR EARLY WINTER … BE BLESSED AND HAPPY .. PRAY FOR ACCEPTANCE OF GOD’S WILL AND GUIDANCE FOR YOUR HEART AND … MINE …. THANKS … ROB COX

The Miracle Field of East Alabama project is not only a baseball field, but it includes an entire environment suited for special needs youth and ball players. The field itself has a rubberized synthetic turf allowing wheelchairs and walkers to glide unrestricted in addition to the accessible dugouts and bleachers. The environment encompasses a control center with wheelchair and walker accessible restrooms & water fountains, an all accessible press box, a special needs accessible playground, and a pavilion for family and community fellowship.

Can Newton
Cam Newton makes visit to Miracle Field and makes one player mighty proud.

Hey Rob, do you know if anyone got a good picture of this little guy Collin
or found out any thing about him and his family? I met mom on the last day
of our games she was walking with him across the park and I asked her if he
played baseball with us. She said, "No, we're not from here and I just was
looking to see what was going on over here." She was in town with her other
child who was playing in a tournament or championship.
I asked her if he could play with us, she was so cute she said "I don't
think he would know what to do and I'm not sure...." I told her not to worry
we will help him every step of the way and I introduced them to Rusty who
got a shirt and hat for him and put him on the cubs team. You always say if
they come the last day they still get to play. I think what would be a
great story to display on the website, unfortunately there was so much going
on we didn't get a chance to finish our conversation, she did get a chance
to give me a hug and thank us for letting him play and how much fun they
had. I love that he even got a trophy.
